On April 16, 2021 11 canine teams of Bukovynska, Polis’ka, Halytska, Pivnichna, Zakarpatska, Volynska, Odeska, Slobozhanska and Kyivska Customs of the State Customs Service, completed a face-to-face stage of special training in the field of search for narcotics and psychotropic substances, current money in the form of banknotes and tobacco products. At the same time, two canine teams of Zakarpatska and Polis’ka Customs were trained in additional (dual) specialization.

During the training, the specialists of the Department carried out support and detailed analysis of practical skills in search work and practice situations that are as close as possible to the real ones.

According to the results of passing the final control, the canine teams of the Odesa Customs (Panasiuk Yurii and a service dog named Pirate), Zakarpatska Customs (Dovbak Yevhen and a service dog named Amur), Kyivska Customs (Luk’ianchuk Andrii and a service dog named Palma) and Pivnichna Customs (Andriy Kuchura and a service dog named Jessica) received an excellent grade. The rest of the canine teams got a good grade for demonstrated practical skills and theoretical knowledge. In conclusion, Halyna Potashnikova, the Acting Director of the Department, congratulated the participants on the successful completion of training, wished the canine inspectors to continue to grow and increase the knowledge gained in the process of professional activity.
