On May 13-14, 2021, the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine conducted training of heads of departments (sectors) of canine services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine on a short-term training program “Organization and Implementation of Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine”.

During the course, the following issues were considered:

Efficiency of work of canine teams of departments (sectors) of canine services of the State Customs Service;

Specifics of the use / involvement of canine teams in the customs control procedure;

Joint use of canine commands and scanning systems in identifying risks of movement of prohibited goods.

At the same time the problematic issues of activity of canine subdivisions, ways of their elimination and priority directions of work of specialized subdivisions of canine support in the new structure of the State Customs Service were discussed.

The specialists of the Directorate of Canine Services of the Department acquainted the participants with the provisions of the order of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine dated 10.03.2021 No. 148 “On Dog Training in the State Customs Service of Ukraine”. Upon completion of the course, participants successfully passed the final control and received the appropriate certificates.
