On May 28, 2021 on the basis of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Department) the full-time stage of the special training course for 10 canine teams of the customs of the State Customs Service as Pivnichna, Slobozhanska, Odesa, Halytska, Zakarpattia, Volyn, Kyiv Customs, and 2 canine teams of the Department has been completed. At the same time, the canine teams of the Pivnichna Customs and the Department were trained in additional (double) specialization.

During the training, the specialists of the Department provided support and detailed analysis of practical skills in search work, worked out practical situations close to the real ones.

According to the results of the final control, the canine teams of Odesa Customs (Volodymyr Yerpelyov with a service dog “Sheila” and Dmytro Turkovsky with a service dog “Rik”), Pivnichna Customs (Petro Vyrovets with a service dog “Bim” and Isak Anatoly with a service dog “Luna”) and the canine team of the Department (Forsyuk Konstantyn with a service dog “Nicka”) received an assessment of “excellent”.

The rest of the dog teams demonstrated practical and theoretical skills with general assessment of “good” and “satisfactory”.

All dog Handlers received the appropriate certificates.
