On September 9-10, a seminar “The issue of customs affairs, taking into account changes in legislation” was held for heads of customs control and customs clearance divisions in order to ensure their proper functioning as separate divisions of the State Customs Service in connection with the start of work on the model of “single legal entity”.

“This seminar is a unique opportunity to conduct a face-to-face productive dialogue between the management of the relevant Department of the State Customs Service and heads of departments that are directly responsible for the organization of customs control and clearance, in order to work out a unified approach to resolving of labor issues in all customs” said Mr. Oleg Hoia, the Acting Director of the Department of Customs Control and Clearance of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

During the event, the issues of practical implementation of innovations in customs legislation were discussed, in particular:

project implementation for automatic release of goods (with emphasis on the procedure for carrying out the relevant customs formalities);

implementation of the authorized economic operator (the role of customs, interaction with guarantors, etc.);

improvement of existing and development of new software products to ensure automation of customs control and customs clearance.

The seminar was held on the basis of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine.
