Traditionally, each year, on International Customs Day, the WCO Secretary General makes a formal statement to colleagues setting out goals and plans for the coming year.

Continuing the annual tradition, the World Customs Organization has determined that on January 26, 2022, the International Customs Day is dedicating to joint efforts to create data and cooperation under the theme: Scaling up Customs Digital Transformation by Embracing a Data Culture and Building a Data Ecosystem.

This theme was announced by  the WCO Secretary General on the 85th Session of the WCO Policy Commission and stressed on the opportunity to showcase their efforts and activities in this domain of WCO Members.
