The Department of Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department) was appealed by the Aurinkoinen Koira Kennel (Kennel), which is specialized in breeding Labrador Retriever puppies (“sun dog” in Finnish), to provide temporary shelter.

Since the beginning of the war owners of the Kennel and dogs were forced to leave their home in Zaporizhzhia and temporarily move to the Slovak Republic, but were subsequently decided to return to Ukraine.

Thus, on June 7-8, 2022, the Department was pleased to host a large dog family of 9 labradors, where they received everything they needed to rest on their long and difficult road to Zaporizhzhia. The four-legged family, regaining their strength, continued on their way to the dream of going back to home country. The Department wishes the Kennel success and a peaceful future.
