Between April 11-14, 2023 a special training of Odesa Customs officials was conducted in face-to-face online mode at the premises of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Service.

In addition to the general topic of customs guidance, the trainees worked out issues related to the nature of X-rays, radiation safety when working with sources of ionizing radiation, and the functions of using X-ray image interpretation tools of the Rapiscan Eagle M4507 Cargo Mobile Scanning System.

Moreover, the specialists of the Department familiarized the customs officials with the methods of hiding objects restricted or forbidden to move, and the final stage of training was mastering practical work with scanning systems with the help of appropriate software products. After completing the training, participants who successfully passed the final testing received appropriate certificates.
