The Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (Department) continues its active work on implementing a campaign to attract young people to form a personnel pool, which is carried out within the framework of the Action Plan for the implementation of the State Customs Service Personnel Management Strategy for 2021-2024.
This time, 5th-grade pupils of the Educational association No 5 of the city of Khmelnytskyi named after Serhii Efremov visited the Department, where they had a unique opportunity to learn about the specifics of the work of customs officers, canine inspectors, and scanning system operators. During the visit, the children observed how prohibited items and substances are detected using service dogs and scanning systems, and even tried their hand at being canine inspectors and operators of modern scanning systems.
Such events are aimed at forming a positive image of the customs officer profession among young people, stimulating interest in working at the State Customs Service, and training future personnel.
Visiting the Department left a vivid impression on the students and broadened their horizons, helping them better understand the specifics of the professions of a canine inspector and a scanning system operator.
