On 12 April 2024, the full-time stage of the special training of 8 canine teams of the Canine Units of Vinnytsia, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Kyiv Customs and 2 canine teams of the  the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department) was completed.

The main purpose of the training was to improve the previously acquired competencies of dog handlers related to the practical use of service dogs at various search objects in the course of customs control to detect prohibited and restricted items and substances.
