Within the framework of interdepartmental interaction of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department) and the Territorially Separate Branch “Khmelnytskyi Branch of the Academy of the State Penitentiary Service” (Territorially Separate Branch) cooperation continues on issues of increasing the level of professional competence of men and women dog handlers.

So, on April 11, 2023, on the basis of the Territorially Separate Branch for participants of the full-time stage of special training “Special training course for canine teams of departments (sectors) of canine services of the State Customs Service”, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the canine department held theoretical classes on issues of organization, planning of training and use of service dogs in State Penitentiary Service.

In addition, the specialists of the Department used the educational and material base of the Territorially Separate Branch to conduct practical classes in order to test the skills of dogs in searching for a hidden object (substance).
