The last week of winter 2024 was marked for the Department for Specialised Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (Department) by visits of schoolchildren from two educational institutions of Khmelnytskyi region – Kuzmynskyi Lyceum of Shchyboriv village council of Khmelnytskyi district of Khmelnytskyi region and Educational association No 5 of the city of Khmelnytskyi named after Serhii Efremov.

The experts of the Department prepared an eventful programme for their guests, which included: information on the specifics of the work of a man/woman “customs officer”, “scanning system operator”, “dog handler”, demonstration of videos on the preparation and involvement of canine teams in customs control procedures, as well as the rules for handling dogs.

Everyone had the opportunity to try themselves as a dog handler, scanning system operator and look behind the scenes of customs control.
