On May 30, 2025, special initial training for canine teams from the territorial bodies of the State Customs Service and for canine teams trainers was completed.

For four weeks, newly formed canine teams from the Volyn, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, Ternopil, Poltava, and Lviv customs offices underwent an intensive training course. This training aimed to develop the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for using service dogs to search for and detect prohibited items and substances.

The goal of the trainer preparation was to acquire expert knowledge, skills, and abilities in modern methodologies for the effective selection, adaptation, training, and deployment of canine teams.
