On June 8, 2022, an online session on the implementation of gender policy in Ukraine was held with the participation of more than 100 representatives of various agencies, including a representative of the Department of Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service. The event was chaired by Yuliia Lykhach, First Deputy Director of the Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union.
During the session, the results of the initial survey were discussed to analyze the level of satisfaction with conditions for performing civil service in terms of taking into consideration the principle of ensuring the equal rights and opportunities of women and men into its personnel policy.
It should be reminded that before the russian military aggression and the imposition of martial law in Ukraine an anonymous initial survey of about 8,000 civil servants was jointly conducted by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service and the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality Policy, NIRAS International Development Consulting in the framework of the project “European Union for Gender Equality: Service for Reform” and Scientific Research Center of Applied Sociology “Socioplus” of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Employees of the State Customs Service and Lviv Customs were involved in the survey of the State Customs Service. As a result, it is planned to make recommendations and develop an action plan for further implementation of gender policy in the State Customs Service.
