From 8 to 12 April 2024, representatives of the Department for Specialised Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service took part in the first stage of the Firearms Detection Training Course/Train the Traner organised by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX) and held in Ungheni (Republic of Moldova).
The training was conducted by FRONTEX experts, including specialists from Poland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Spain, Greece, as well as experts from the US Department of State, who conducted training on controlling the circulation of MANPADS and ATGMs.
This course is aimed at strengthening the ability to detect firearms, ammunition, explosives, and to carry out procedures after their detection.
We are grateful to FRONTEX and the Republic of Moldova for the jointly organised training and for the opportunity to share international experience with representatives of other Ukrainian state authorities, which will be implemented in the training system of the State Customs Service.
