From 22 September to 5 October 2024, canine teams from the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Odessa and Kyiv Customs, participated in an intensive training course aimed at enhancing their skills in detecting prohibited items and substances.
The training was organized at the Romanian Customs Canine Team Training Center (Bucharest) with the support of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine).
The primary objective of the training was to improve the skills of customs inspectors and their service dogs in detecting narcotics, psychotropic substances, weapons, weapon parts, ammunition, tobacco products, and banknotes.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants received certificates from the EUAM Ukraine.
We express our gratitude to the EUAM Ukraine and the Romanian Customs for organizing the training and providing us with the opportunity to acquire knowledge and experience that will enhance the capabilities of the State Customs Service canine teams in detecting prohibited items and substances.
