The State Customs Service of Ukraine, in particular the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (Department), participated in four webinars on the relevant topic “Gender Equality: Understanding, Policy Formulation, and Implementation Tools”, which were attended by over 800 people. The event was organized by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service Affairs and the Higher School of Public Administration with the support of the Project “European Union for Gender Equality: Reform Assistance Service. Phase II.”
During the webinars, female and male experts thoroughly examined key aspects of gender equality, including:
- fundamental approaches and basic concepts of gender equality;
- pressing challenges and problematic issues in the implementation of gender policy in Ukraine;
- the current regulatory and legal framework governing gender equality policy, including the legislation of Ukraine and the European Union;
- the current state of gender policy implementation in our country;
- gender mainstreaming: its essence and stages of implementation;
- key definitions and effective mechanisms for inclusion and combating discrimination.
Everyone noted the importance of conducting such events to raise awareness and promote the implementation of gender equality policy in Ukraine.
The conducted series of webinars reaffirmed the importance of such awareness-raising events and the promotion of gender equality policy implementation in Ukraine.
