On July 30, 2021, on the basis of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (hereinafter – the Department) the full-time stage of the special training course for 10 canine teams of Lviv, Sumy, Odesa, Volyn, Kyiv, Dniprovska, Donetsk Customs and the State Customs in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has been completed. Besides, the canine teams of  Kyiv, Donetsk and Volyn Customs were trained in additional (double) specialization.

During the training, the specialists of the Department provided support and detailed analysis of practical skills in search work, worked out practical situations close to the real ones.

According to the results of the final control the canine teams of Donetsk Customs (Sergey Kalachev with a service dog Lars), the State Customs in Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Andriy Vinogradchy with a service dog Margo), Odesa Customs (Roman Berkutsky with a service dog Kep and Andriy Yarish with a service dog Dzhenestra El Amigo Alegre), Lviv Customs (Vitaliy Volosky with a service dog Irma) and Sumy Customs (Igor Basarab with a service dog Laura) have the mark “exelent”.

The rest of the canine teams demonstrated practical and theoretical skills with general assessment of “good”.

All dog handlers received the appropriate certificates.
