Today ( June 29, 2021), officials of the canine devision of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine held a regular meeting , as part of the project “Strengthening capacities of Ukrainian authorities in preventing and combating illicit trafficking in weapons, ammunition and explosives in all its aspects”. The officials of OSCE and of the Dog training Center of the Guardia Civil (Spain) took part in the meeting.

The main purpose of the event is to determine specific areas of training of dog handlers with service dogs for consulting and expert support from the Spanish Guardia Civil.

During the meeting, the parties presented training systems for dog handlers with service dogs, namely: a review of training programs, infrastructure and methodology. At the end of the meeting, further steps of cooperation were agreed.
