Special training of scanning systems operators of analysis of Х-ray images, obtained using the complex scanning stationary type systems for inspection of cargo, was completed by officials of the technical means of customs control of customs at the premises of the Lviv customs from 13 to 16 September.

Besides general customs topics, the trainees worked through the issue of the nature of X-rays, radiation safety at work with sources of ionizing radiation and functions of using tools for interpreting X-ray images.

At the same time, the specialists of the Department familiarized the customs officers with the methods of concealing restricted or prohibited items, as wel as mastering the work of scanning systems in practice with the help of appropriate software products during the final stage of preparation.

Upon completion of the training, all participants have successfully passed the final test and received the appropriate certificates.
