In 2024, the first group of officials of the units for combating smuggling and violations of customs rules and customs officials of customs posts received special training on the use of technical and special means during customs control at the Department for Specialised Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service. The representatives of Dnipro, Zakarpattia, Kyiv and Ternopil Customs were trained from 16 to 17 April, 2024.

During the event, the participants got acquainted with the procedure for the use, provision and accounting of technical means of customs control and their classification. They gained theoretical knowledge and practical skills in working with various types of technical means of customs control, such as:

– Technical means of operational diagnostics of documents;

– Non-intrusive inspection systems for goods and vehicles (scanning systems);

– Technical means of identification;

– Search tools;

– Technical means for ensuring radiation safety.

During the practical training, the material and technical base of the Department was used, which includes a wide range of different equipment used by customs inspectors in the performance of their duties.

Upon completion of the training, all participants received the relevant certificates.
