On 28-31 March, 2023 a special training for officials of the Vinnytsia, Dnipro and Zakarpattia customs was conducted in face-to-face online mode at the premises of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department).

In addition to the general topic of customs guidance, the trainees worked on issues related to the nature of X-rays, radiation safety when working with sources of ionizing radiation and functions of using the X-ray image interpretation tools of the Rapiscan Luggage and Mail Inspection Scanner System.

Moreover, the customs officials were familiarized by the specialists of the Department with the methods of concealing restricted or prohibited items to move. The final stage of training was the mastering of Luggage and Mail Scanning System Operators the work of scanning systems in practice with the help of interactive training software called Simfox.

Upon completion of the training, all participants have successfully passed the final test and received the appropriate certificates.
