The State Customs Service received a letter of thanks from the World Customs Organization (WCO) for assistance in conducting the Strategic Trade Control themed Risk Management and Targeting webinar, provided by Viacheslav Slavinskyi, a representative of the Department of Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. “As you are aware, in these times of COVID-19 pandemic capacity building events are being delivered in a virtual setting. With reference to the Strategic trade control themed risk management and targeting webinar, held from 02 to 04 March 2021, let me express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Viacheslav Slavinskyi, an accredited Expert Trainer in the area of STCE, for assistance to the WCO to successfully organize and deliver the event. The presentations and national experience shared by Mr. Slavinskyi have largely contributed to an efficient, professional, and relevant virtual event. Feedback received from participants following the workshop was positive and favourable, making it a success story with a momentum on which future physical events can be built following the lifting of travel restrictions.” – mentioned Mr. Pranab Kumar Das, Director of the Directorate on Compliance and Facilitation of the WCO, in the letter. Participation in such WCO activities enhances the international prestige of the State Customs Service, promotes the professional development of its personnel and provides the chance to exchange experience with foreign colleagues.
