On August 20, 2021 in the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service of Ukraine the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence was celebrated.

30 years for the state is the flourishing of youth, and youth is the fullness of life. This holiday is an occasion for each of us, regardless of age, knowledge, experience, to feel young, and therefore – full of determination and energy for work and self-affirmation.

During the event, the pages of the history of the formation of the independence of the state were turned over, the names of fighters for the people’s happiness and geniuses who gave their talent to their native Ukraine were recalled, all those who died for the bright cause of defending our freedom were honored with a minute of silence.

On the occasion of the holiday, the best employees of the Department were awarded by the certificates of gratitude from the Head of the State Customs Service for the significant personal contribution to the development of Customs and conscientious performance of their duties.

The Acting Director of the Department Mrs. Halyna Potashnikova received gratitude from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy for many years of conscientious work, high professionalism, active citizenship and significant personal contribution to the development of customs in Ukraine.

Congratulating the audience on the holiday Mrs. Halyna Potashnikova noted that independence has become a prerequisite for all the positive achievements and a bright future of Ukraine, which we build together. She thanked colleagues for their daily hard work, loyalty to their professional duties, wished them health, peace, generous destiny, self-confidence and inspiration in all matters on the way to strengthening Ukraine’s independence.
