On 25-28 March, 2023 a special training for officials of the Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv customs, as well as the Apparatus of the State Customs Service was conducted in face-to-face online mode at the premises of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department).

In addition to the general topic of customs guidance, the participants of the training worked on issues related to the nature of X-rays, radiation safety when working with sources of ionizing radiation, and the functions of using the X-ray image interpretation tools of the Rapiscan luggage/mail scanning systems.

The specialists of the Department also familiarized the customs officials with the methods of hiding objects restricted or forbidden to move, and the final stage of training was the mastery of practical work with scanning systems using the software product for interactive practical training of Simfox luggage/mail scanning system operators. After completing the training, all participants successfully passed the final inspection and received the appropriate certificates.
