Current threats and challenges. Chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear disinformation

Within the framework of  the European Union (EU)-financed Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative and in cooperation with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) an online training was held on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear disinformation was held online from February 20-23, 2023.

The event revealed the issue of disinformation in the media on chemical and biological laboratories in both Ukraine and other countries; techniques of detection of preliminary evaluation of disinformation; methods of combating disinformation and media communication technique.

The participants of the event were about 60 representatives of state bodies and services in the field of radiation, chemical, biological and nuclear safety, including an expert of the Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services t of the State Customs Service.
