Ensuring border security using modern information and cyber security measures

The Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service informs that on 2 May 2023 at 10:00am Central European Time (10:00am Brussels / 12:00pm Baku / 14:00pm Astana), a webinar under the theme of “Ensuring Border Security through Advanced Information and Cyber Security Measures” will be held through Zoom video conferencing service and jointly organized by ROCB Europe, World Customs Organization, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC), Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC).

The purpose of the webinar is intended to improve knowledge and expand close cooperation in the field of advanced information and cyber security, to draw attention to existing and potential problems in the region and to unite efforts in the field of advanced information and cyber security measures.

Deliberations will also focus on importance of advanced information and cyber security measures in identify patterns and detect anomalies that may indicate security threats as well as the latest achievements, best practices, challenges and future developments in the above areas. During the event, the use of cryptocurrencies in export-import contracts, the WCO BACUDA project and a virtual reality training project, analysis of large data sets on arriving passengers, new challenges for international and regional law enforcement organizations in the digital age, security information and event management (SIEM) with tactical analysis, will be discussed.
