Raising awareness of the activities of the State Customs Service among schoolchildren in Khmelnytskyi region

The Department for the Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service (Department) actively organises interesting information and educational events for schoolchildren in Khmelnytskyi region as part of the State Customs Service’s campaign to engage young people to build human resources within the framework of the Action Plan for the Implementation of the HR Strategy of the State Customs Service of Ukraine for 2021-2024.

On 3 April 2024, fifth-graders and their teachers from the Educational association No 5 of the city of Khmelnytskyi named after Serhii Efremov visited the Department.

The Department’s experts conducted a quick survey to check whether the children knew about the customs profession, the work of scanning system operators and dog handlers, and the rules for handling dogs. The pupils listened to the Department’s experts with enthusiasm and interest and actively asked them questions.

In addition, curious fifth-graders, after the demonstrations of the State Customs Service canine teams, had the opportunity to try themselves as customs officers, dog handlers and scanning system operators of the State Customs Service.

The unanimous desire of schoolchildren to join the work of the State Customs Service officials is proof of the attractiveness and prestige of the customs profession.
