WCO Compendium on GED in Customs

In recent years the World Customs Organization (WCO) has increased its efforts in this area recognizing the essential value of gender equality and diversity as a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development and increasing productivity in organizations, and kept the topic of gender equality and diversity on its agenda.

On March 8, 2023 the WCO published the materials of the 2nd edition of the WCO Compendium on Gender Equality and Diversity in customs (Compendium), which brought together 12 examples of best practices of WCO member countries, including the article of the State Customs Service on experience in implementing gender policy. The Department for Specialized Training and Canine Services of the State Customs Service contributed to the writing of this article as part of professional training on gender issues.
